 Brashawin Game changer  'A' 'Z'

ABout erebus

Brashawin Game Changer “A” “Z”, known as Erebus, is a dog whose quality was evident from the moment he matured.

A powerful, masculine solid black male, Erebus embodies the strength, presence and working heritage that underpins the Brashawin breeding program. With strong bone, excellent substance and a confident, stable temperament, he represents the type of German Shepherd we strive to produce, a dog that is both visually striking and genetically valuable.

Erebus is proudly bred from exceptional parents, being the son of Ch. Chakoonya Spyro and Ch. Garsova Kiri JC. 'A' 'Z', a pairing that consistently produced dogs with strong structure, sound movement and excellent character. He is also the half brother to Australian Champion Brashawin Empire Strikes Back (Vader), continuing a family line that has proven its worth both in the show ring and as influential contributors to the Brashawin program.

Originally placed with a family as a young puppy, Erebus later returned to us as a mature dog. His return confirmed everything we had always believed about him, he had grown into a powerful, well balanced male with the presence and quality that make a true stud prospect.

Erebus began his show career later than most, entering the ring at two years of age, yet he quickly proved his merit and was within reach of his Australian Championship title in a short period of time. Unfortunately, a minor ear injury resulted in a small cosmetic deformity which ultimately brought his show career to an early close. Despite this, those who know the breed understand that his true value lies far deeper than a cosmetic detail.

Erebus is a dog of substance, character and genetic importance. He possesses the strong head, masculine expression, and confident temperament that define the classic German Shepherd.

Looking back, Erebus is undoubtedly one we wish we had retained from the beginning. As every breeder knows, it is impossible to keep them all,  and sometimes the ones that return remind us exactly why the bloodline matters.

Fortunately, Erebus’ legacy is secured. We have frozen semen preserved from him, an invaluable asset to our program and one we consider extremely precious. His genetics represent an important part of the Brashawin lineage, and we look forward to incorporating his influence into future generations.

Erebus remains a dog we are incredibly proud of, a powerful reminder that true quality always finds its way back to where it belongs.

Due to a minor ear injury sustained during his show career, Erebus was never able to complete the Breed Survey prior to being desexed. While the injury resulted in a small cosmetic deformity that may have seen him be penalised , it in no way reflected the true quality of the dog himself.

Erebus possessed the structure, strength and temperament expected of a surveyable male, and his overall type and genetic value remain highly regarded within our breeding program.
